Strong impetus: First seminar for apprentice supervisors of the guilds a complete success
27. May 2025
Apprentice supervisors from the carpentry guilds throughout Baden-Württemberg met for the first time at the timber construction training centre for a two-day face-to-face seminar - sending a strong signal for the future of training in the carpentry trade.
The aim: to sharpen the role of the apprenticeship supervisors together with the overall manager of the training centre, Markus Weitzmann, and training manager, Jan Ackermann, and to jointly develop a clear, practical job description.
The result: two intensive days full of expertise, dialogue and tangible team spirit - with tangible added value for all participants and their guilds.
Sharing knowledge, deepening practice, shaping together
Whether specialist presentations, group work or lively discussions - the varied seminar format was very well received. The main topic "Dealing with enquiries in everyday guild life" was particularly popular.
The focus here was on legal principles, tried-and-tested guidelines and real-life practical examples. The open exchange of personal experiences resulted in practical solutions that give participants security and clarity for their daily work.
Networking, learning from each other, growing together
Another great benefit: the newly created network among the apprenticeship supervisors. The participants not only learnt from each other - they also laid the foundations for strong, collegial cooperation across guild boundaries.
In addition, a compact action guide was developed to effectively support the guilds in future with training-related issues.
Full approval
Organisation, content, atmosphere - the feedback was consistently positive. The seminar impressively demonstrated how valuable personal encounters and active participation are for sustainable guild work.
Conclusion: a kick-off with a signalling effect
The first apprentice warden seminar was far more than just a training course - it was a real milestone on the further path to the role of apprentice wardens.
With clear results in their luggage, the participants are now well equipped to continue actively shaping training in the carpentry trade.
