International experience
Discover timber construction in Biberach, Europe and worldwide.
International mobility creates connections, broadens horizons and strengthens competences.
In our "International" department, we offer young carpenters the opportunity to gain valuable experience abroad with Erasmus+ or the "Kleine Walz" programme - professionally, professionally and personally.
At the same time, we welcome international specialists and groups: with practical training, modern infrastructure and customised courses in German or English. Our aim is to promote exchange in timber construction - technologically, culturally and on a personal level.
The world is big - and so is your apprenticeship.
Whether with Erasmus+ or the "Kleine Walz": the timber construction training centre offers the chance to think outside the box. Those who combine craftsmanship with curiosity about other cultures gain more than experience - they gain personality.
Erasmus+ gives young people the opportunity to gain experience abroad in Europe.
It's not just about practical craftsmanship at an international level - it's about real exchange: about working methods, materials, building culture and personal values.
The Bildungszentrum Holzbau offers contacts to various partners in Europe and worldwide.
aims to strengthen international cooperation in timber construction.
The Kleine Walz is a mobility programme especially for young carpenters directly after their training.
They move to an Austrian timber construction company for at least six months. This temporary break offers the opportunity to gain new insights into construction methods, corporate culture and project management. At the same time, it strengthens the participants' self-organisation, adaptability and personal responsibility.
The training centre establishes contact with suitable companies and supports the entire process - from preparation to return. The Kleine Walz is an ideal step for anyone who wants to expand their professional experience in a targeted manner and take the next step in their development.
International mobility programmes promote far more than just technical skills. Those who work in another country learn to adapt to new teams, different processes and unfamiliar challenges. This not only strengthens professional flexibility, but also self-confidence, initiative and openness towards other living and working cultures. Intercultural competence thus becomes a key practical qualification - especially in an increasingly globalised industry such as timber construction. Participants not only return with enhanced specialist knowledge, but also with a stronger personality and a plus on their CV.
