Tradition with a future - Our development
The timber construction training centre in Biberach has been training skilled workers from all over Germany since the 1970s. What began as an inter-company training centre has continuously developed into a modern training, innovation and event location for the carpentry trade. The establishment of the Competence Centre for Timber Construction & Finishing has further strengthened its nationwide importance. Today, the centre stands for a unique interplay of practice, theory and future orientation in timber construction.
Further training
First seminar courses
The first training and further education courses were offered this year in order to keep our specialists up to date.
The wide-ranging seminar portfolio with over 100 different seminars covers the following areas: Corporate management in timber construction, technology, restoration and wood preservation, energy efficiency, IT/digitalisation and occupational health and safety.

Competence Centre
Competence centre for timber construction & finishing with seminar hotel - Leipzigstraße 21
With the inauguration of the Competence Centre for Timber Construction & Finishing, ideal rooms have been created for further education and training. In the associated seminar hotel, visitors can meet and stay in hotel rooms, a restaurant, seminar rooms and a seminar workshop all in one place.

Trial study programme
Launch of the Biberach model Trial degree programme: Timber construction project management
In cooperation with Biberach University of Applied Sciences, the "Timber Construction/Project Management - Civil Engineering" trial degree programme is offered, which participants complete after dual carpentry training with the title of master carpenter and a Bachelor of Engineering.
Participants in the Biberach model are thus academically and technically trained to take on the social challenges of housing construction and climate protection through renovation and construction with the sustainable building material wood.

WorldSkills Germany
Appointment as WorldSkills performance centre in the carpentry trade
As part of WorldSkills, the national carpentry team regularly trains at the timber construction training centre. The aim is to promote young people in competitions in the skilled trades and thus offer them a platform.

We celebrate
We celebrate 40 years of the Carpentry Training Centre and 20 years of the Competence Centre for Timber Construction & Finishing / Seminar Hotel
