Why does the carpentry trade actually have a national team?
How does it work with the German Championship, Euro and World Skills?
And how many hours of practice do you have to put in to achieve something in these competitions?
Michael Rieger, training supervisor at our timber construction training centre and national coach of the carpentry team, explains all this to us. We talk about the competitions and what influence he has on the participants on site.
If you pass the journeyman's examination, you will be invited (in BW) to the chamber competition. If you are successful, you will go on to the state competition and the German championship.
There is also the carpentry contest, for which you can apply and make your way into the national team. All information about the contest, previous successes and upcoming competitions can be found here: www.zimmerer-nationalmannschaft.de
